As usual, with everything going on, we're late wrapping this up. The contest is now closed. We're testing all the recipes you sent in. We'll play, judge & post winners in March. We're even throwing in a few extra prizes as a thank you for being so patient.

 

FRIENDS, BBQ's & THE GREAT OUTDOORS:

Great company, fresh air to stoke the appetite, conversations around a slow simmering BBQ…anticipation.

Some of these BBQ creations become legendary. Stories result. We keep memories of these get-togethers. Each of you, who have visited with us in person or on-line, know that the folks at Pepperheads firmly believe that Food & Fun go hand in hand.

The Chefs are asking you to share your favorite BBQ recipes; 'Friends, BBQ's & the Great Outdoors' story, or even a swell photo. Inspire us! We'll run the contest until one week after that famous Canadian outdoor favorite….Labour Day Weekend (that means the contest closes Sept. 15th).

We are offering two Grand Prizes; your choice of a BROIL KING 'PORTA-CHEF' BBQ (20,000 BTU, even cooking, easy to clean & it's own handy carrying case) so you can create a party wherever you are…a spontaneous weekend escape, that next family reunion, or tailgating in style. Every fun loving cook needs 'one to go'. Enter and ye shall receive.

 

OR…you may choose to have the Pepper Prez host you on a memorable food lover's shopping spree around Calgary. If you are coming from out of town, we'll hook you up for an evening in a fine Calgary B&B. If you need a cooler, we'll set you up with that too.

Again, we are offering a collection of $25.00 gift certificates for the following country tour of the Foothills south of Calgary; start your Saturday morning at the critically acclaimed Millarville Farmers Market, where you can pick up some fresh produce or re-stock your supply of Pepperheads, next up is the Millarville Country Store which allows you the option of picking up some libations for your feast. South to Turner Valley's M+G Meats, in Black Diamond you can find a hand crafted salsa bowl at Terra Cotta Dudes. The Longview Jerky Shop for some 'road snacks', then off the Okotoks for a late brunch or some fine European specialties at Hanzel & Gretel's Deli. Your final stop is the Old Country Store in Okotoks for something special for your kitchen.
